France’s bird flu problem is becoming worse



Reuters, December 21 in Paris – The second-largest producer of poultry in the EU, France, has seen an increase in bird flu cases in recent weeks, according to the farm ministry, raising concerns about future shortages.

After experiencing its greatest wave of the disease last season, which resulted in the slaughter of over 20 million chickens, ducks, and turkeys and a severe decline in poultry and foie grass production, France had already noticed an increase in bird flu breakouts over the summer.
